MRS. ALLIE PHANEUF
Funeral Services were held for Mrs. Allie Phaneuf, 84, of Champlain were held Monday, Nov. 29 1971 at St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Donald Sequin, pastor, officiated.
Bearers were David Milroy,William Johnson, Francis Rabideau, Elmore Manor, Albert LaPorte, and Leonard Patrie Sr.
The body was placed in St. Anne's Cemetery Vault in Mooers Forks to await burial in the spring.
Mrs. Phaneuf died Friday at the C.V. Unit of the Medical Center.
She was born in Mooers Forks May 6, 1887 daughter of Frank and Philamene (Charade) Mesec. She was the widow of the late Antoine Phaneuf.
Surviving are three sons, Richard of Plattsburgh, Albert of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Thomas of Atlantic City, NJ; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Madeline) George of Buffalo, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Clark of Ventor, NJ. and Mrs. Bernard (Theresa) Leahey and Mrs. Cleo (Alfreda) Willette, both of Champlain; two brothers, Samuel Mesec of Champlain and Alfred Mesec of Oneonta; two sisters, Mrs. Victoria McCallum of Verdun, Que. Mrs. Emma St. John of Champlain. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren
