 ELLENBURG -
 Bertha E. Brooks, 73, of Moorers died Saturday July 5 1986 in CVPH medical Center, Plattsburgh.
 Born July 7, 1912 in Clinton Mills, she was the daughter of Leonard and Fannie Covey Drown.
 Surviving are her husband, Lyle Brooks of Mooers,; two sons Roger Brooks of Peru and Wendell Brooks of Ellenburg; five daughters, Mrs John (Ruth) Southworth of Bangor, Kay Brooks of Wolcott, NY, Mrs. Clarence (Sharon) Patrie of Champlain, Mrs. Robert (Cora) Smith of Mooers, and Mrs. John (Nancy) Alix of Chateaugay; a brother, Charles Drown of Mooers; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Edith) Moore of St. Regis Falls, and Mrs. Forrest (Ida) Gibson of Mechanicsville; and two half brothers, Frank Drown and Eugene Drown, both of Ellenburg.
 She was a member of the Ellenburg Sewing Circle and Mooers Home Bureau.
 Calling hours were in E.F. Drown Funeral Home, Mooers.Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Mooers  Wesleyan Church in Mooers. Burial in Sheldon Hill Cemetery, Ellenburg Depot.
